I have to say that the Compassionate Cooks podcast has been a GODDESSSEND for my long rides on the OC Transpo.

Me too! I can't help but be discouraged by the lack of vegan groups and support in the city. If there is anyone out there in Ottawa reading this, respond! Let us know we aren't alone!
I have recently become vegan and am finding it difficult. Not with the lack of things to eat, but the support. None of my friends are vegan and my father is a doctor who is under the belief that I will get really sick from not eating meat or ingesting other animal products- regardless of the fact I am lactose intolerant. People get so hostile when they find out you are vegan.
I guess I am just hoping that there are other people in Ottawa who are going through the same thing as me.
